MEET OUR CHEF Chef David Crews Chef de Cuisine/General Manager
David graduated with honors from the Culinary Arts Institute at M.U.W. with a Bachelors of Science in Culinary Arts and a minor in Culinary Business. David has studied with some of Mississippi's best and brightest chefs and has taken Crawdad's to the next level of food and service. David was the original Chef of the Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood MS, a AAA four diamond hotel, and also served as a product specialist for the Viking Range Corporation. David has served as Sous Chef in multiple high end restaurants and served as apprentice to both Joseph Broussard of J. Broussard and Wally Joe of KC's Restaurant (AAA four diamond restaurant). Throughout his career David has cooked many high profile dinners such as, dinner parties for movie stars like Morgan Freeman, breakfast for blues stars such as B.B. King and even a brunch for the King and Queen of Spain. David has captured his own style of cooking from the cultures that take their inspiration from Mississippi River Delta that we call "The Alluvium Cuisine" which means a food genre created from many sources and settled by the river side.
